Schools Out! Day Trip to Kalahari Indoor Waterpark
Monday, November 3
When schools out, what a better way to spend the day than at “the” waterpark of waterparks! Children must be accompanied by an adult. From zero depth entry for the youngest to totally relaxing whirlpool spas. Stand up surf or boogie board on the Flowrider. Experience the water walk, challenge your friends to a game of water basketball or enjoy 920 feet of adventure down the lazy river. The entire family will enjoy an exciting raft ride down Victoria Falls. Net crawls, water guns and slides from 6 - 20 ft. high await you in Leopards Lair. Twirl uncontrollably and swept away by the nearly 400 ft. long tube slide of Swahili Swirl.

Depart City Hall parking lot at 8 a.m. Return approximately 7 p.m.
Fee: $38 (includes admission and transportation)
Meals will be on your own at any of Kalahari’s restaurants or concession stands.

Let’s Get Messy! PreSchool Art Class (Ages 3-1/2 to 5)
Have tons of fun getting messy while learning and creating great art projects! Your child will be encouraged to explore and experiment with their own emerging creativity. Parents are welcome, but not required to attend class with their child. Different projects each session!

Afterschool Art (Grades 3 - 5)

Annual Holiday Workshop for Kids ( Grades 1 - 6)
Drop off children in the Valley Art Center parking lot
Children will have the opportunity to create unique gifts for their families and friends with members of our faculty and fine area artists. Children make projects in several work stations from candle making to silk screening creating lasting gifts for great memories.

Safe On My Own (Ages 5 - 12)
All children are “home alone” at some time or another, whether it is when their parents are in the shower or the children are playing outside by themselves. This class helps children make snap decisions while learning to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies and everyday occurrences.

First Aid For Children Today (Ages 5 - 9)
This interactive course will help children understand the important role they have in managing their own health and safety as well as the health of the environment in which they live. Instruction will introduce an awareness of behaviors and action that could lead to injuries or illness and provide children with the skills to prevent injury as well as the first aid skills to respond to injuries.

Driver Education
Driver Education is sponsored by the Aurora Parks and Recreation Department and contracted through National Drivers Training School. Participants will need to register with the Aurora Parks and Recreation office with payment or mail in registration. Checks must be made payable to “City of Aurora”. Participants must call 440-248 8552 (National Drivers Training School) to schedule the in-car instruction.
PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND A 15-MINUTE MEETING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FIRST CLASS.
