Mission Statement

The mission of the Aurora Parks and Recreation is to enrich individuals of all ages, families and
the community by providing a wide range of recreational programs and clean, safe parks. The
Department shall also endeavor to preserve the cultural, historical and environmental resources
of the City of Aurora. Parks and Recreation creates community through people, parks and programs
